The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) recently announced WATERSHED CONNECT is a finalist for the 2022 Clair A. Hill Award. This award recognizes exemplary programs with demonstrated success in creatively addressing water industry issues, commitment to water use efficiency and conservation, leadership in broad water-related issues, and excellence in agency management and operations. Award finalists will be recognized during ACWA’s 2022 Virtual Spring Conference and Exhibition on May 3rd through 5th.
“The fact that we were able to generate so much support throughout the region in such a short period of time, tells us that this program is the right approach” shared Heather Dyer, CEO/General Manager of the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District. “We’ve done the planning and designed the projects – now we are working on the smartest and most advantageous way to pay for them.”
The application—titled Watershed Connect: Achieving Resilience Through Integrated Infrastructure—was submitted on behalf of all Watershed Connect JPA members by San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District.
